Writer / Director Elias Plagianos’ film and television projects have won Best Director, Best Feature Film, Best Short Film, Best TV Pilot, and Best Actor awards for his cast at over 75 International Film Festivals including over 10 of MovieMaker Magazine's list of Top 25 Festivals, and three Academy Award qualifying festivals.

In addition to his creative work behind the camera, he is a partner at the new media startup venture “Zero Channel”. Their first project (written and directed by Plagianos), “Shoot Me Nicely”, stars iconic actors Linda Hamilton and William Sadler. Shoot Me Nicely won numerous awards at international festivals, including being named Best Independent TV Pilot by Sky TV, Europe’s largest media broadcaster.

Elias recently directed and produced “Distemper” from a grant by the prestigious Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, produced -- alongside exec producer John Leguizamo-- the Tribeca Film Festival Premiere "Triggered", produced the Australian film "Rancour" for Blumhouse-owned CryptTV, and wrote and directed the award winning film "Sombra City", a future noir filmed in Havana, Cuba.

Elias' detective drama “Hudson Falls”— starring Richard Kind, Jessica Hecht, Robert Burke, Chiké Okonkwo, Tara Westwood, and William Sadler —  had its International Premiere at the prestigious CANNESERIES where it was named a festival favorite by the French newspaper “20 Minutes”. It is currently available on Amazon Prime Video.

Elias recently won BEST DIRECTOR at SeriesFest, the biggest TV festival in the United States, for "Hit Man: Secrets of Lies" -- which he is currently developing as a series. It is based on the novel “Hit Man” by best selling author and Grand Master of Mystery Lawrence Block. Block’s other popular works have been made into major motion pictures — most recently “A Walk Among The Tombstones”, starring Liam Neeson.
